A rope grab designed to minimize damage to the rope under shock loading. The jaw has a set of shallow, slightly rounded teeth more like grooves. They create just enough friction against the rope and minimize rope damage. The "Curved Cam Interface", which the cam pushes the rope against, helps prevent rope damage by allowing the grab to slip when overloaded. A spring loaded action for the cam is achieved from resistance of a small diameter cable that attaches the jaw to the body. Breaking strength: 26.7 kN (6,000 Ibf). Made in USA.
