DBI/SALA was the first in the industry to develop, design and manufacture self retracting lifelines (SRL's).

The lifeline extends and retracts enabling the user to move about within the recommended work area at normal speeds, while still working at peak efficiency. Should a fall occur, a speed sensing brake system will activate stopping the fall and reducing the forces imposed on the user to 900 lbs. or less. For falls which occur near the end of the lifeline travel, a reserve lifeline system has been incorporated to assure a reduced impact fall arrest.
Also incorporated into these devices is an impact indictor that will enable the user to visually check to see if the device has been impact loaded (the device has arrested a fall of a worker).
