Ferno Universal Head Immobilizer

Replaces heavy, unsanitary sandbags yet is simple to use, lightweight, and easy to clean.

Composed of two plastic-coated, closed cell foam head supports, a universal attachment base, and two durable head straps. Base plate fits on most backboards including Medex Dorso-lite plastic backboards. Head supports can be used on standard backboards or turned around for use on the "Scoop" Stretcher.

Large ear holes permit monitoring of bleeding or fluid drainage. Unique head straps hold patient's head firmly in place by conforming to the patient's forehead while the second strap can be placed over extrication collar. Backboards can be stored with the base plate attached.

Not affected by rain, snow, or temperature extremes.

May be used with X-rays, MRI, or CT Scanners.
