DBI/Sala 9 ft Tripod

These lightweight tripods are constructed from aluminum, making them portable yet are very durable and can withstand up to 5,000 lbf of vertical pull. The tripod can be easily set-up by one worker. The tripod comes with a quick-mount mounting plate for attachment of a winch or SRL. More than one device can be attached to the tripod when optional brackets/pulleys are used.

Rated working load is 350 lbf for work support, 310 lbf for fall arrest. Legs adjust in increments of 2 3/4" inches and are kept in position with locking push pins. The 1850-076 adjusts from 5ft to 7ft height and will span a 5ft dia. hole. The 1850-077 adjusts from 7ft to 9ft height and will span a 6ft dia. hole. Leg-locks hold the legs securely in place. Each tripod comes complete with a safety chain to prevent movement and safety shoes that incorporate a rubber sole for flat surfaces and spiked edges for slippery surfaces.

The heat treated, cast aluminum heads are equipped with two drop forged steel eye bolts designed to hang plumb regardless of surface configuration on which the tripod is erected and are used to attach accessories (i.e. secondary or back-up system). Heads on the 1850-076 and 1850-076 incorporate two pulleys to route lifelines and winch cables.

These tripods meet the strength requirements for anchorages (5,000 lbf), ANSI Z359.1-1992, ANSI A10.14 -1991 and CSA requirements. The 1850- 076 and 1850-077 series tripods are classified by Underwriters Laboratories to the 350 lb. load capacity only .
